Goodenow's has embraced Salmon, Idaho for 19 years with a mission of finding the 'perfect fit' for their customers. Since the inception of her business 30 years ago, in Denver, CO, Susan has hand selected every item from an array of creative artists. "My passion for color and stone drives the creativity behind my personal pieces, I can't get enough of the combination!" There is always a story for the customer a need for them to understand the stone, design and origin; a connection to their purchase enjoying it for years to come.
Susan Goodenow,
Designer/Owner
Being raised in Honolulu, Hawaii allowed me the 'free spirit' to embrace my creativity and pursue my passions. I found myself very involved in the culture of the islands. I paddled for the Hui Nalu State Canoe Team competing throughout the islands. On the delicate side, Hula and Tahitian dancing kept me balanced.
Having graduated with art, education and sociology degrees, I continued to Whitworth University teaching art and business administration. I created and operated an art gallery in downtown Spokane, WA for the students and alumni to exhibit their work. After arriving in Salmon, Goodenow's just seemed like a natural progression. It's all about variety; Stone, Style and Design in all price ranges. We have something for everyone and are rewarded with smiles!!!
Susan makes the most mesmerizing jewelry! She hand-picks such unique gems and stones and will make sure you find exactly what you're looking for. The amber and petrified moss earrings and Campitos Turquoise paddle earrings turn heads whenever I wear them. I love to visit her store!
